We designed this Pocono Pines cabin rental to feel like a true retreat — a place where families, couples, and small groups can relax in nature without sacrificing comfort. So where did the name Bearly Roughing It come from? It started with Bernie, the seven-foot-tall bear painting you’ll find inside the home. Then came a few bearly appropriate design touches… and finally, a real black bear encounter near the creek during renovations. After that, the name just made sense. We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Bearly Roughing It! The home was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable and had clean, fresh linens. The kitchen had plenty of dishware and pots and pans to make your own meals as needed. The bathrooms were stocked and very clean. The living room was the perfect spot to relax. The entire atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The views from the house were beautiful and there was even a creek in the back with a hammock and seating space. The location was great with lots of options for both indoor and outdoor activities around. The hosts had wonderful communication and provided all needed information in advance and lots of good recommendations for things in the area. They were very easy to communicate and work with! Would absolutely recommend this home!

A perfect mountain getaway. We loved all the thoughtful touches throughout the home, and the creek running through the property was incredibly peaceful. We even spotted deer and a black bear during our stay, which made it feel like a true mountain escape. Everything was comfortable, well cared for, and made us feel right at home. We’d happily stay again!

Our stay here was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The property itself is amazing—beautifully kept, clean, and so comfortable. What really blew us away, though, was the location. The surroundings are stunningly beautiful and made for such a peaceful, scenic getaway. Huge thanks to Autumn and Steve, who were phenomenal hosts. They were super responsive, incredibly proactive with helpful information, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Access to Lake Naomi Club amenities is subject to community rules and seasonal availability. Details can be provided upon request; you will need to book this home for a minimum of 7 nights before you are able to qualify for a temporary membership. There is a cost and also conditions to apply for a temporary membership. Please contact the Lake Naomi Temporary membership office at (570) 646-9191 - We cannot stress enough, though, that our Cabin rental with lake access in the Poconos while you need a temporary membership to enjoy all of the amenities you do not need the membership to enjoy the home, infact most renters feel that the home offers so much that they don't need the temporary membership.
Yes, weather permitting. Firewood availability and local fire regulations may vary seasonally. Occasionally there maybe fire bans, so please pay attention to those events.
Weather can change quickly due to elevation. Snowfall and icy conditions are possible in winter months — please plan accordingly and make sure your vehicle(s) can handle snowy conditions during the winter months.
Private driveway parking is available on-site for upto 6 vehicles comfortably. In winter, we recommend parking toward the top of the driveway during snow events. We also have a universal EV charger free for your use. It will accomodate Telsa and EV vehicles with J1772 vehicles
Absolutely. This home is an awesome Airbnb Pocono Pines alternative for families. Families are very much welcomed, and the home is set up for comfortable group stays.
In our pet-friendly cabin in Pocono Pines. You certainly may bring your pet, Fido, subject to a $75 one-time pet fee. Please note that if you leave the home excessively dirty, or with dog hair, we will have to charge an additional fee to cover the cleaning. We will also have to charge if you do not pick up after your pet. We do provide poop bags for your convenience. Sadly, due to the owner's allergies, we cannot accept cats.
In our Poconos cabin near Lake Naomi Although the home has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, due to local township permitting regulations, we can only advertise the home as having 3 bedrooms. The home will accomodate upto a max of 9 guests, assuming 2 to a bed (if a full sized bed or larger) and 1 to a bed (assuming it's a twin-sized bed). We also have a pack n play for smaller members of the family.
Three of the four bedrooms are all en-suite. The bedroom that isnt ensuite has a full bathroom in the hallway on the same floor (2nd floor) where the bedroom is located
